Conquering – Charity George

Jeremy George was in our youth group when Libby and I were youth leaders @ Bethel.   And Libby taught with Jeremy’s wife Charity at Bethel Preschool. Jeremy went on to become a youth pastor in Michigan.

About a year ago, Charity (a young wife and mother of 2) suddenly experienced stroke like symptoms for what they think was a lesion on her brain.  Over a very short time her health quickly spiraled downward. This video documents her story and ongoing recovery over the last year.  She is conquering.

Please watch this video and begin praying for Charity’s recovery. You can read more about Charity and Jeremy on their website – www.charitygeorge.com

Jeremy and Charity are full of life – and they are living in the Spirit of God.

praying kids

Most nights I “put the kids down”. At least Eli and Eden, and some nights Silas too. We have this elaborate bedtime routine, which Eli doesn’t let me break easily. One of the things we do is pray (of course!)

Man, I love hearing Eli and Eden pray…they are brutally honest most of the time…here are a couple from tonight.

Eli (thinking worst case scenario) asked,

Dad, if you were praying at church and something caught on fire, what would you do?

I had to think about that one. Still not sure what I would do.

Eden prayed (in her honest trusting squeaky voice),

Thank you God for making me good.

Wow.

Kids are crazy cool.

I'm a family man at heart. I admit my world revolves around my wife Libby and our 3 hooligans...Eli, Eden and Silas. They are easy to love. I'm trying to learn to love the rest of you. I also like to ask questions.
